suffolks’ may street fair : monday 28th may 10am to 5pm may street fair is now 19 years old, a firm favourite for the local community, for all the family. there will be 80+ market stalls featuring arts & craft, designers & makers, vintage, food & drink - a good few market favourites as well as many new stalls to browse. do not miss revamp recycle boutiques 'fill a bag for a fiver' all in aid of maggie's here in cheltenham - this is where you'll find the raffle too. danters fun fair will be in residence in daffodil st.. there will be live music, punch & judy shows and dance troupes in great norwood st.. the main stage is along side zizzi's which will host performances by the rock choir, the cheltenham samba band, the memphis sun dogs, tom jones & elvis - a packed line up. look out for stilt walkers, tarot readings, face painting, faithfull house's own garden fete and of course the shops, bars and restaurants of who will be spilling out into the street for the day. we look forward to seeing you. suffolks christmas market 2017 christmas market : sunday 3rd december 11am to 5pm over 90 market stalls featuring arts & craft, designers & makers, vintage, food & drink. our usual ma rket will will be enhanced by danters fun fair, thomas trilbey children's entertainer, choirs carol singing, jazz buskers, father christmas will be at the daffodil - a perfect family day out. the variety, mix and quality found in shops and stalls in the market offer the perfect solution for christmas shopping. the bars and restaurants of the area will be open for lunch and refreshments throughout the day, and there will be street food available in the market - and mulled wine to keep the winter chill out. traders have nominated maggie's cancer care centre, cheltenham for the day, who will have a stall in grt norwood st., selling goodies and raffle tickets. catherine of revamp recycle boutique is doing her extremely popular 'fill a bag for a fiver' on the day for maggie's too. look out for maggie's choir performing carols. suffolks market : sunday 29th ocotber 11am to 4pm harvest & halloween to celebrate harvest we are launching our food market area - there will be butcher, bakers, jams & preserves, gin, cheese maker, cordials, recipes, wine, pies, sweets, deli, dips. find this area at the end of suffolks square. the market has over 80 stalls featuring arts & craft, designers & makers, vintage, food & drink with a strong emphasis on local. the market is set within the shopping area of , most of whom will be spilling out in to the street to join in the day. as halloween is so near we hope to see youngsters in fancy dress, trick or treating their way around the shops and market - look out for the trick or treat poster to find those joining in. events for 2017 our sunday markets are back! the first for 2017 is on the 30th april, and because it coincides with the cheltenham jazz festival we are adding jazz fringe to the day. there will be market stalls featuring designers & makers, arts & crafts, food, vintage, street food and the popular 'toe in the water' pitches showcasing new entrepreneurs. there will be jazz in the street and in the bars and restaurants - the retreat, the daffodil, bar 50, the beehive. a full program will be announced soon. christmas fair & carols sunday 4th december 11am - 6pm our annual christmas fair & carol singing is almost here. the fair will have over 80 market stalls featuring arts & crafts, designers & makers, food, vintage & street food. we are confident that father christmas will be joining us on the day. cheltenham college junior school are bringing their choir to lead the carol singing at 4pm, and there will be carols in the street from 3pm. thomas trilby, children's entertainer is doing two shows in the afternoon and danters fun fair are joining us for the day. the fair will line the streets along suffolk parade from grt norwood st to montpellier terrace. our chosen charity for 2016 is maggie's cancer care centre, cheltenham will be running the raffle stall, the fabulous prizes all donated by ' traders. the carol song sheets & candles are being sold to raise money for cheltenham open door. live music will complete the day. and don't forget, all the wonderful shops, bars & restaurants of are there to be visited too! cirencester march hare coming to are giving one of cirencester's march hares a home from march to september in 2017. the hares are decorated by artist & designers, each one gloriously individual and different, rather like our suffolks shops, bars & restaurants. the hares are featured on a map, which will have young & old searching throughout glorious gloucestershire to see them up close. trompe l’oeil art traders association were introduced to the idea of putting trompe l’oeil art on buildings in by adrian phillips. please follow this link which tells you a little more about this exciting project, that we hope will soon be on display on a building near you. august sunday market our next sunday market is the august bank holiday weekend - on the sunday (not the monday!!!) following the sucess of our suffolks souk in 2014, we have been working on our sunday market diary. there will be arts & crafts, vintage & street food. our 'toe in the water' pitches are aimed at young designers & makers and debut entrepreneurs.
